Frequently asked questions.

Here’s everything you (probably) wanted to know about tooth gems.

How do tooth gems stick to the teeth?

The tooth gem process is very similar to the process of placing orthodontic braces. The same dental materials are used, and a dental curing light is used to set the final design in place. The whole process only takes about 15 minutes for a simple design. There is NO drilling or pain involved!

OK, but is it safe?

Yes!! Tooth gems are dental safe when applied by a qualified professional. SMILE&WINK tooth gems are applied by a Registered Dental Hygienist.  When you’re ready to switch up your style, you can have the jewel removed by a dental pro.  They will simply pop it off and polish away any excess material. Once it’s removed it will be like it was never there.

How long do tooth gems last?

Everyone’s different, but tooth gems typically last anywhere from 6-12 months or more, depending on how you take care of them.  You can wait for them to eventually fall off, or they can be removed at any time by a professional.

Do men get tooth gems?

Absolutely! Plenty of male celebs including Drake, Odell Beckham Jr. and Travis Barker have famously rocked tooth gems.  You can too!
